Nathan was born in Houston, British Columbia Canada. After playing 2 years for the world renowned Notre Dame Hounds in Canada, Nathan played 3 years of Jr. A hockey in the BCJHL. 2 of the 3 years, he was selected to the All Star team and was named MVP of one of the All Star Games. Nathan attended the Boston Bruins free agent camp and was assigned to one of their affiliates in Jacksonville. Nathan also attended the Florida Panthers rookie camp and was assigned to their affiliate Tallahassee Tiger Sharks in the ECHL. He trained with the famous Hall of Fame Russian goaltender, Vladislav Tretiak for 3 years. Nathan’s 13 years as a professional goaltender included playing in leagues such as the ECHL, UHL, and CHL. He was also selected for 2 professional All Star games, winning the Skills Competition in one of them. Most of the organizations that Nathan played for were affiliated with NHL teams like the Boston Bruins, Florida Panthers, Buffalo Sabres, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was also one of the head instructors at Stu Gould’s Good as Gould goalie camps. Nathan also had his own Hockey Schools and camps in south Florida and Canada. He has been training goalies and players of all ages both in south Florida and Canada for the past 25 years. Nathan was the assistant coach and goalie coach for the University of Miami Hurricanes Hockey Club for 3 years. He is also a USA Hockey Level 4 coach. Nathan also owns and operates CanadianMade Hockey with Nathan Grobins EH Game Goaltending being a division of that. He is also available for private lessons with both goalies and players of all ages and talent levels.
