Christine Husar began skating at age 11 at Pines Ice Arena in the group classes. She fell in love with the sport immediately and still continues to skate to this day, pursing her goal of completing her final test, the Senior free skate. Once completed, she will be considered a double gold medalist in both the Moves in the Field and the Free Skate through United States Figure Skating Association. In addition to training skaters on the ice, Christine also offers off ice training sessions to improve skater’s strength, conditioning, core stability and flexibility. She is studying to complete the board exam to be considered a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Christine received her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training at the University of Miami and is a certified and licensed athletic trainer (ATC, LAT) having worked with Division 1 college athletes, high school athletes and the general population in injury prevention, immediate and emergency care, injury evaluation and treatment, and rehabilitation. Christine is currently getting her doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Miami with an anticipated graduation in 2019. Upon graduation, she hopes to open an off-ice training facility that combines strength and conditioning with physical therapy to create powerful athletes off the ice, which will further enhance their success on the ice. She loves training skaters of all ages from children to adults!
