Originally from Colombia, she started as a roller skater representing Colombia in the 1980 world championships.
Since she was 6 years old, she knew that she wanted to be a Coach.
She switched to ice skating and since then has skated in multiple ice shows throughout the years.
1984 she worked in South American company with Carnaval on ice.
During her 9 years with Holiday On Ice, she spent 2 years in South America and 7 years in Europe.

She has also worked as an Aid in occupational therapy for 12 years in Miami Beach at Douglas garden Hospital & Comprehensive pain center .

Margarita has taught skating in multiple countries.
She teaches kids to Adults. Learn to Skate, Free-Skate to competitive high levels. She prepares skaters to take tests in Moves In the Field (MIF) and free Skate with USFS. She is spearheading our Pines Synchro team as well. She also teaches off ice Conditioning.

Because our athlete’s mental and physical safety is paramount to us, each Coach has passed a comprehensive background check through the National Center for Safety Initiatives (NCSI).
