Britni began skating at the age of 7 and has been a professional figure skating instructor at Pines Ice Arena since 2001. She is a current member of USFS and PSA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in psychology from Florida State University, and also holds minors in business and child development. As a young skater she trained with many world renowned coaches, including Natalia Dubova, Kerry Leitch, Thomas Litz and Alison Smith. She has local and regional competition experience as both a skater and a coach, as well as a background in dance. Outside the rink, Britni has participated in charity shows to raise money for Miami Children’s Hospital, donated lessons to support the Victory school, among other local organizations.
Britni offers a wide variety of training that can meet any skaters’ needs. She has coaching proficiencies in freestyle, choreography, moves in the field, power skating and off-ice training, and is well-versed with the International Judging System. She has developed and coached her competitive skatersfrom beginner levels into IJS levels for both Moves in the Field and Free Skate tests and competitions, and has had skaters compete at the U.S. Regional Championships. She has also had several students win 1st place overall in their levels in the Annual South Florida Basic Skills Series. Her complete love and passion for the sport is apparent as she can usually be found at the rink 7 days per week teaching skaters of all ages and levels.
